I had the privilege of marching for
you during the 1992 - 1995 marching seasons. In 1992, I was a little
freshman, having never played drums much before I was placed in the
cymbal line. Throughout the course of my time with you, I was able
obtain the best knowledge, play on exceptional equipment, and have
access to the best instruction . By my senior year, I was center snare
and a part of one of the best drum lines Columbia River High School has
seen to this date.
I
consider a big part of my work ethic to come from being in your
program. We all put in a tremendous amount of hours during marching
season to obtain a common goal. Whether we won or loss, we all took away
the satisfaction knowing that we left it on the field and gave it our
all.
I hope that you can take a moment
in a day of solitude and realize what you mean to many students,
including myself, and what you have done for our development, as well as
what you have done for the community. We are all better people for
having cross your path at one point in time throughout our lives.
Thank you for your service, compassion, and above all YOUR dedication!!
Ryan Ferguson
PS
- Thank you for allowing me to be your 6th period TA my senior year. I
believe my only duties were to stack chairs and play drums, since you
didn't have a class that period! :)
